Job summary

WOW! is seeking a field technician to prioritize and complete locating work, read maps, and communicate results to supervisors and contractors. The role requires reading system prints, taking voltage measurements, and understanding FCC and NESC standards.

You will ensure security, maintain equipment, and train others as needed. The position demands the ability to work independently, flexible hours, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be able to present technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Able to work independently and manage time.
• Able to measure distances accurately using tapes and measurement devices.
• Proficient with testing equipment including underground locator and TDR.
• Able to operate standard office equipment (fax, copier, etc.).
• Able to handle escalations and time-critical issues.
• Able to read street maps and system prints.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and on-call shifts.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and completes locating work in a timely fashion per scheduling requirements.
• Reads maps and system prints to locate where work will be performed.
• Communicates work inquiries and results by e-mail with supervisor, contractor, or others.
