Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a skilled Field Operations Technician to perform MACD activities, install and repair ISP/OSP equipment, and test circuits using OTDRs. You will work on-site at customer locations, ensuring high-quality service and safety standards across North America.

The role emphasizes independent field work, strong communication, and a customer-focused approach, with travel aboard company-provided transportation as required and on-call responsibilities in the schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, security, and/or cabling.
• Positive, customer-focused attitude enabling de-escalation of challenging situations with integrity and empathy.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college is valued but not required, equivalent experience in telecommunications is equally important.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide elite customer service experience on-site at customer locations.
• De-escalate customer concerns professionally.
• Perform installation and repair of internet, copper and fiber cabling, routers, and demarcation extensions.
• Identify, analyze, and solve technical issues such as install cable runs and data circuits.
• Maintain Ledcor safety program while using vehicles, tools, and equipment.
