Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician to perform MACD installations, repairs, and testing on telecom equipment across North America. You will install, test, and troubleshoot internet services and networking gear in customer sites, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in telecommunications, a technical college credential, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
Positive, customer-focused attitude enabling calm, empathetic handling of challenging situations.
Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Experience working in the field independently in a dynamic environment.
Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client.
Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using de-escalation techniques.
Perform onsite installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment.
Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity.
Follow Ledcor's safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
