Job summary

Kapsch Field Service Technician II role in Memphis, TN. You will perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ITS devices and infrastructure for the Memphis SmartWay system, with on-site work and potential on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 6+ years of ITS or similar field experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, fiber optic, and network systems.
• Ability to read schematics and technical plans.
• Experience with electronic testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on ITS systems.
• Respond to and resolve trouble tickets within required timelines.
• Diagnose and repair complex issues across multiple ITS devices.
• Maintain and support systems including CCTV, DMS, HAR, detection systems, wireless communications, fiber optic networks, and network equipment.
• Perform utility locating for fiber and power infrastructure.
• Install, upgrade, modify, and replace ITS equipment as required.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and testing equipment to troubleshoot system faults.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, labor tracking, and service records.
• Receive and manage inventory and assist with material requests.
• Support subcontractors and ensure work meets quality and specification standards.
• Assist and guide junior technicians in field operations.
