Job summary

Milgard Windows & Doors, part of the MITER Brands family, seeks a Field Service Technician in Simi Valley, CA. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair window and door products in the field across the Central Coast region. You will deliver high-quality service, document visits via mobile tools, and maintain safety standards.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:45 p.m. with overtime. Compensation starts at $26.78/hour, depending on experience, and MITER Brands offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in window/door service, installation, carpentry, glazing, construction, or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for documentation and scheduling.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair window and door product issues in the field.
• Troubleshoot service concerns and determine root causes.
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and part replacements.
• Serve as the primary technician on service calls, ensuring timely resolution.
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain issues and solutions.
• Accurately document service visits using company systems and mobile tools.
• Follow work orders, safety protocols, and company standards.
• Maintain clean and organized service vehicles, tools, and work areas.
• Ensure customer homes and job sites are left clean and restored.
• Manage and track parts inventory as needed.
• Develop knowledge of MITER Brands product lines, installation methods, and warranty standards.
