Job summary

Milgard Windows & Doors, part of MITER Brands, seeks a Field Service Technician in Simi Valley, CA, to diagnose and repair window and door issues in the field. You will troubleshoot service concerns, perform repairs, and communicate clearly with customers on solutions and care.

You will be the primary technician on service calls, documenting visits and adhering to safety protocols while maintaining organized tools and vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in window/door service, installation, carpentry, glazing, construction, or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair window and door product issues in the field.
• Troubleshoot service concerns and determine root causes (installation, product, or performance-related).
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and part replacements.
• Serve as the primary technician on service calls, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain issues, solutions, and product care.
• Accurately document service visits using company systems and mobile tools.
• Follow work orders, schedules, safety protocols, and company standards.
• Maintain clean and organized service vehicles, tools, and work areas.
• Ensure customer homes and job sites are left clean and restored.
• Manage and track parts inventory as needed.
• Develop knowledge of MITER Brands product lines, installation methods, and warranty standards.

Simi Valley, CA (Serving San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara county) Milgard Windows and Doors, part of the MITER Brands family, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to join our team based in Simi Valley, CA. This role services a regional territory offering a strong opportunity to connect with customers across the Central Coast. In this position, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair window and door products while delivering a high-quality service experience. If you’re hands-on, experienced in field service or construction trades—or eager to grow your skills—and take pride in solving problems and delivering great customer outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.

Schedule & Compensation

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m- 2:45 p.m plus overtime. Compensation: $26.78/hour (depending on experience). Location: 355 E. Easy St., Simi Valley, CA.
