Job summary

Carolina Handling LLC in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Field Technician to service lift trucks and automated equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose electro-mechanical issues, perform installations and repairs, and interact directly with customers to ensure satisfaction.

This role requires driving, reading schematics, and maintaining safety standards; a valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related field such as maintenance, repair, or installation.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and electronic systems; ability to read schematics and technical manuals for diagnosing and repairing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems and perform installations and repairs as needed.
• Interact directly with customers to understand concerns and resolve issues for customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company positively with customers.
• Perform repairs efficiently and address situations promptly and professionally.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on equipment for contracted customers and address identified repairs.
• Keep track of parts and supplies in the service van to complete tasks.
• Ensure service van is properly maintained and stocked with equipment and supplies.
• Adhere to customer safety and housekeeping guidelines at sites.
• Support the company's overall operations and objectives as required.
