Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotating industrial equipment across on-site locations. You will lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls, using advanced testing tools while ensuring safety and quality in every service call.

The role emphasizes autonomous work, strong customer communication, and the ability to travel as required, with exposure to PdMA testing and vibration analysis as preferred skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
• Customer-facing communication and professional reporting of findings.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean record; willing to work flexible hours including on-call.
• PdMA testing or Level I Vibration Analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment; perform laser alignments and set tolerances to OEM specs.
• Use precision tools to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity.
• Overhaul gearboxes and bearings using specialized tooling and specs.
• Perform diagnostic tests with portable equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment with bead/ice blasting and solvents.
• Maintain safe work practices and collaborate with teams to meet project goals.
