Job summary

Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel, diagnose, repair, and overhaul industrial rotating equipment. You will lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and refurbishments, while delivering an unmatched customer experience.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, and precision measuring tools; a valid driver's license; and a commitment to safety and teamwork. IPS offers growth and steady on-site challenges.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
• Excellent customer-facing communication.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends for on-call field service.
• Driver's license with acceptable record.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation/removal of AC/DC motors; perform laser alignments to OEM specs.
• Use micrometers/calipers/dial indicators to diagnose wear and verify tolerances.
• Overhauls of bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components with proper tooling.
• Perform diagnostic tests with portable equipment (Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, DLRO).
• Clean and prep electro-mechanical gear using blasting/solvent methods for a professional finish.
• Maintain strict safety standards while working independently or in a team to meet goals.
