Job summary

Integrated Power Services is seeking a Field Service Technician (Rotating Equipment & Precision Millwrighting) to perform on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. You will lead mechanical craft activities and ensure equipment meets OEM specs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years working with motors, gearboxes, or pumps, and can read precision gauges while communicating findings professionally on customer sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation and removal of AC/DC motors and coupled equipment; perform laser alignments and set critical air gaps and mechanical seals to OEM specifications.
• Use precision measuring tools to diagnose wear, verify tolerances, and ensure equipment integrity.
• Perform overhauls by replacing bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components with specialized tooling.
• Conduct diagnostic tests using portable equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Clean and prep electro-mechanical equipment using bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning.
• Adhere to safety standards and collaborate with the team to hit project goals.
