Job summary

Integrated Power Services, LLC. (IPS) is seeking a Field Service Technician to lead on-site diagnostics, precision repairs, and overhauls of industrial rotating equipment. You will work on AC/DC motors, gearboxes, and pumps, applying precision techniques to achieve reliable operation.

The role requires 2+ years' hands-on experience, strong problem-solving, and customer-facing communication. A valid driver’s license is needed, with flexibility for overtime and on-call work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AC/DC motors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar rotating industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret precision measuring instruments and technical blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills and professionalism.
• Driver’s license and willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Precision Assembly & Alignment: Lead installation/removal of motors and coupled equipment; perform laser alignments and set gaps to OEM specs.
• Detailed Mechanical Inspections: Use micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to diagnose wear and verify tolerances.
• Advanced Overhauls: Replace bearings, gearboxes, and torque-critical components with specialized tooling.
• Technical Testing: Conduct tests using Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO to ensure reliability.
• Specialized Maintenance: Clean and prep equipment using bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvents.
• Safety & Collaboration: Follow safety standards and work with teams to hit project goals.
