Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Service Representative to perform startup, repair and preventive maintenance on equipment at customer sites. You will read blueprints, diagnose electrical issues, and collaborate with customers, electricians and project teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.

This site-based role includes occasional nonstandard hours with a 40-hour guarantee plus overtime. Company vehicle, tools, uniforms and devices are provided for daily use and travel may be required

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent training in electrical disciplines.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and interpret electrical drawings.
• Thorough understanding of AC and DC power concepts and components.
• 2+ years in field service repair and customer service with UPS systems and power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, and technical support teams.
• Complete field service and expense reports, PM data sheets, and startup data sheets.
• Collaborate with the District/Regional teams to resolve escalated issues.
• Engage in continuous learning and training on products in the field and classroom.
