Job summary

Schneider Electric is hiring a Field Service Representative in the United States to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical equipment. This site-based role includes an 40-hour guarantee (+ overtime) with most work at customer sites.

The position supports power distribution and critical power infrastructure, with 180 days of training at a new Dallas facility, and ongoing online learning with a local mentor.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, Military training or similar electrical-related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Thorough understanding of AC/DC power principles.
• 2+ years field service repair and customer service with UPS and related equipment.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Follow safety procedures and policies (lock out/tag out, etc.).
• Identify hazards and report safety matters to management.
• NFPA-70E or OSHA experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Problem solve with customers, electricians, sales partners, and support teams.
• Complete field service and expense reports, PMs, and startup data sheets.
• Collaborate with Manager/Regional Service Director on escalated issues.
• Engage in continuous learning and product training.
