Job summary

Heidelberg USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team as a remotely located employee, traveling to customer sites within your region to install, set up, repair and train on Heidelberg Postpress equipment. You will perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, conduct preventative maintenance, coordinate with riggers, complete paperwork on time, and keep customers informed on ETA and status.

Expect up to 75% travel and occasional weekend work to meet service needs.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology.
• Minimum two years in field engineering positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices and high-demand customer locations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of Heidelberg Postpress bindery equipment.
• Conduct maintenance and training on Heidelberg Postpress commercial bindery equipment.
• Work with riggers to install and/or move new or used equipment.
• Return unused or incorrect parts and complete paperwork on time.
• Provide customer operator and equipment maintenance training.
• Provide periodic on-site trouble-shooting and repairs as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain detailed feedback via Mobile Service App during and after visits.
