Job summary

Heidelberg USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in Virginia as a remotely located employee who travels to customer sites for on-site setup, installation and repair of Heidelberg Postpress equipment.

This role will require mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, customer training, and coordination with certified electricians. Expect up to 75% travel and weekend work when necessary. A two-year technical degree and field service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology.
• Two years in field engineering positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; 5–10 years of field service experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Heidelberg Postpress bindery equipment on customer sites.
• Install, calibrate, and test Postpress equipment with customer and team coordination.
• Provide operator and maintenance training to customers.
• Document and communicate ETA, status, and repair details to customers and dispatch.
• Travel up to 75% of the workweek, including occasional weekend work.
