Job summary

PackSmart is seeking a General Service Technician to perform on-site repairs and support in-house maintenance of packaging equipment. The role includes installations and demos to support machinery sales, with a focus on fault-finding, preventive maintenance, and timely service visits.

Requirements include 1-3 years in a maintenance setting or trade school, knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in service repair or equivalent
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts
• Understanding sensors, switches, relays, servos and PLCs
• Valid driver's license (company vehicle provided)

Responsibilities

• Complete daily field service repairs on customers’ packaging equipment
• Collaborate with Sales Team to support machinery sales
• Complete large machine installation projects with other Service Technicians
• Perform planned maintenance on customers’ equipment
• Document service visits with parts, time, and travel details
• Maintain on-site demo equipment
