Job summary

AMETEK Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to join its international service team. You will install machines, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot electromechanical, electronic and software issues at customer sites or remotely.

The role requires at least 2 years of field service experience, an technical AS or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license and passport. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degrees in a technical discipline or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of field service or similar experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and Passport required.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine installations and preventative maintenance at customer’s location in a professional manner.
• Train customer on machine operation and software functionality.
• Able to operate machine to prove out performance and customer evaluation.
• Provide information to customer support team for spare parts and service quotations; enter data into CRM.
• Provide excellent technical service to customers via telephone and email.
• Assist in preparation of service documents, photos, drawings to aid troubleshooting.
• Assist in refinement of operator manuals and machine documentation for ease of use.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to troubleshoot machine issues.
• Provide timely and detailed customer service reports in CRM.
• Travel up to 50% is required.
• Other duties as delegated by supervisor.
