Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician - Southwest to provide on-site and remote support for analytical instrumentation across the United States.

The role includes installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and training at customer sites, with extensive travel and close collaboration with Technical Support and Manufacturing teams. The candidate should have a technical associate degree or equivalent experience, 5–7 years of field service, and significant Arc/Spark OES experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of hands-on field service or maintenance/repair experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Arc/Spark OES analytical instrumentation experience.
• Strong chemistry background.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, remote, and phone-based technical and application support.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and answer technical questions.
• Perform installation, service, repair, upgrades, and training at customer sites.
• Travel extensively (minimum 90%) across the U.S. (Mon–Fri) via plane or car.
• Collaborate with in-house Technical Support and Manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare and submit service and expense reports accurately and on time.
