Job summary

Swan Analytical USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The role focuses on on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of SWAN instruments at customer locations, with up to 100% travel Mon-Fri.

You will install and commission instruments, calibrate to specifications, perform preventive maintenance, and provide technical support via phone, email, and on-site visits. Training customers and maintaining detailed service records are also required.

Qualifications

• Install and commission analytical instruments at customer locations.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep instruments at peak performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose instrument issues promptly.
• Calibrate instruments to customer specifications.
• Repair and upgrade instruments as required.
• Train customers on instrument use and maintenance.
• Document service activities and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission SWAN analytical instruments at customer sites.
• Ensure proper calibration and configuration to meet specifications.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure peak instrument performance.
• Provide technical support via phone, email, and on-site visits.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose instrument issues quickly.
• Perform repairs and upgrades as required.
• Coordinate with admin/manager to source parts.
• Train customers on use and maintenance of SWAN instruments.
• Maintain service records and reports; stay updated on product trends.
