Job summary

EarthLink Holdings Corp. is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The role focuses on installation and repair services for business customers, with on-site work and travel as required.

The candidate will support NOC activations, install and test premise wiring per industry standards, and maintain network hardware while following safety protocols. Evening and weekend standby may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

• Proficient with common computer software and basic networking.
• Experience in data/communications industry preferred.
• Willingness to travel and support on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation and repair services to business customers.
• Serve as remote hands for NOC engineers during activations and troubleshooting.
• Install, terminate, test, and repair Cat3/5/5E premise wiring per standards.
• Install and configure network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, IP phones and wireless devices.
• Install and maintain premise hardware such as racks, panels and UPS equipment.
• Climb towers to install, replace, or repair equipment as needed.
• Utilize company software and systems to document work and orders.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for 24/7 support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
