Job summary

EarthLink Holdings Corp. in Richardson, TX is seeking a dependable Field Service Technician to deliver high-quality installation and repair services for business customers.

You will support NOC engineers remotely during activations and troubleshooting, and you will install and test premise wiring, networking gear, and hardware. The role requires physical ability to climb towers, lift heavy items, and work on-site standard hours with occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in the data/communications industry preferred.
• Current ComTrain tower climbing certification or ability to obtain after hire.
• Must pass pre-employment background check with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation and repair services to business customers.
• Serve as remote hands for NOC engineers during service activation and troubleshooting.
• Install, terminate, test, and repair Cat 3/5/5e premise wiring per TIA-568B.
• Install premise hardware including backboards, conduits, patch panels, UPS, and racks.
• Install and configure network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, IP phones, and APs.
• Climb and work on towers to install, replace, or maintain equipment.
• Utilize company software, hardware, and related systems effectively.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule as part of 24/7 support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
