Job summary

EarthLink is seeking a Field Service Technician in Lexington to install and repair network services for business customers. You will act as remote hands for NOC engineers, install wiring and hardware, test equipment, and climb towers when needed.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to multi-task while meeting safety standards. Hours are typically Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with occasional after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Provides installation and repair services to business customers.
• Act as remote hands for NOC engineers during service activation and troubleshooting.
• Install and test premise wiring per standards (TIA-568B).
• Install network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, IP phones, wireless devices.
• Climb towers for installation and maintenance as required.
• Learn and use company software and hardware systems.
• Contribute to 24x7 support through on-call shifts.
