POWERX in Raleigh, NC is hiring a Field Service Technician (NETA 2) to perform basic electrical inspections, tests, and data collection on power infrastructure. You will set up and remove test equipment, perform acceptance and maintenance testing on de-energized equipment, and contribute to final client reports under limited supervision.

The role requires a HS diploma (associate preferred), 2+ years of experience, and OSHA 30+ certifications; travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree from an accredited 2-year technical college or trade school preferred.
• 2+ years of experience.
• OSHA 30-hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED, Power DB training a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform acceptance and maintenance electrical testing under limited supervision.
• Test de-energized locked out/tagged out equipment.
• Collect and record test data accurately.
• Assist in setting up and removing test equipment for various testing activities.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of test equipment and work areas.
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept in good condition.
• Write detailed reports on test results and findings.
• Ensure reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
• Perform basic electrical measurements under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Record and report measurement data accurately.
• Additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the organization’s goals and adapt to evolving business needs.
