Job summary

POWERX is seeking a Field Service Technician (NETA 2) to perform basic electrical inspections, tests, and data collection. The role includes setting up and removing test equipment, conducting basic acceptance and maintenance testing, and producing clear reports under limited supervision.

Travel up to 50% is expected; you will co-lead projects with lead technicians and support client reporting from start to finish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year technical college or trade school preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of field experience in electrical testing or related roles.
• OSHA 10/30, MSHA, NFPA 70E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED, or equivalent training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acceptance and maintenance electrical testing under limited supervision.
• Test equipment setup and removal; proper handling and storage of gear.
• Collect and record test data accurately and consistently.
• Write detailed reports on test results and findings; ensure timely submission.
• Perform basic electrical measurements under supervision and document results.
• Coordinate with lead technicians to support project delivery and client communication.
• Adhere to hazardous energy procedures; follow safe work practices.
• Additional duties as required to meet organizational goals.
