Job summary

Greenway Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to independently perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on John Deere and related equipment. You will work in a dealership environment, in the field when needed, and you will document all work thoroughly while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

You’ll engage in ongoing training, stay current with technology, mentor apprentices, and maintain tool and vehicle readiness while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in John Deere equipment.
• Experience using Service Advisor or equivalent diagnostic tools.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues.
• Positive attitude and a desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment.
• Performs repairs in the field as required.
• Develops understanding of technology offerings.
• Accounts for billable time and documents diagnostics and repairs.
• Participates in required Greenway training programs.
• Follows safety rules and regulations in all tasks.
• Prepares reports and forms for work assignments.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitors.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Mentors apprentices and junior technicians.
