Job summary
Greenway Equipment is seeking a Service Technician to independently perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned agricultural and outdoor power equipment. You will diagnose, repair, and document work, while mentoring apprentices and maintaining tool/vehicle inventory.
Responsibilities include field repairs, equipment knowledge development, safety adherence, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with special tools and technical manuals.
- Ability to diagnose technical issues.
- Experience with Service Advisor or equivalent tools.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment.
- Repairs in the field as required.
- Maintain product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
- Mentors Service Technician Apprentices and junior Service Technicians.
- Document diagnostics and repairs on repair orders.
- Follow safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Prepare reports and forms required with work assignments.
- Maintain vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all technology offerings.
