Job summary

Mettler-Toledo International, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to be the on-site expert customers rely on to keep their floor and bench scales running safely, accurately, and efficiently at customer locations across the service region.

You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs, while training end-users and documenting work in the service database. You will collaborate with the Scheduling Analyst and Service Support Team to meet uptime and response-time

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 5 years relevant work experience.
• Customer-facing or field service experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair, including PC networking and software configuration.
• 1 to 3 years of electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL and Weights and Measures license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn proprietary METTLER TOLEDO software and update information in service records.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 25%, primarily by company vehicle or plane.
• Must reside within the service territory.
• Ability to work overtime averaging 10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration on industrial weighing equipment at customer sites, following procedures and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs with senior technicians when needed.
• Provide end-user training so operators understand how to use and care for equipment.
• Use a company laptop and service software to document work and maintain service records daily.
• Coordinate with Scheduling Analyst, Service Support Team, sales, and fellow technicians to meet uptime and response-time goals.
• Maintain the company vehicle and parts inventory in a clean, organized, and compliant manner.
• Identify service or product needs and submit sales leads in line with your experience level.
• Follow all safety, quality policies to ensure a safe work environment.
