Job summary

Mettler Toledo is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers with on-site maintenance, calibration, and basic repairs for floor and bench scales. You will travel regionally to customer sites, maintain records, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (or 5 years of relevant experience), a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Weights & Measures license. A CDL is preferred and travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Customer-facing or field service experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair philosophies, including PC networking and software configuration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on industrial weighing equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs with senior technicians.
• Provide end-user training on equipment use and care.
• Document work performed and update service records using company software.
• Communicate with Scheduling Analyst, Service Support Team, sales, and technicians to meet uptime/response targets.
• Maintain company vehicle and inventory in a clean, compliant manner.
• Identify service or product needs and submit sales leads as appropriate.
