Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and calibrate industrial weighing equipment at customer locations. You will travel within your region, perform preventive maintenance, and train end users on proper equipment use.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED (or 5 years relevant experience), a valid driver's license, and be comfortable with the field-service lifestyle. The role includes safety training and potential Weights and Measures licensing.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum High School Diploma or GED or 5 years relevant work experience.
• Customer-facing or field service experience preferred; commercial experience desired.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair philosophies.
• 1–3 years of electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Weights and Measures license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to learn METTLER TOLEDO software.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration on industrial weighing equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs with senior techs.
• Provide end-user training on equipment use and care.
• Document work and update service records daily using service software.
• Coordinate with Scheduling Analyst, Service Support, sales and other technicians to meet uptime targets.
• Maintain company vehicle and parts inventory in a clean, compliant manner.
• Identify service or product needs and submit sales leads when appropriate.
• Follow all safety, quality, and company policies on site.
