Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician to service floor and bench scales at customer locations throughout the assigned region in New Jersey. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and basic repairs while representing the company professionally.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, customer training, and maintaining service records using MT software. Travel up to 25% may be required; a valid license and high school diploma are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• High School Diploma or GED or 5 years relevant work experience.
• Customer-facing or field service experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair, PC networking and software configuration.
• 1–3 years electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration on industrial weighing equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects and repairs with senior technicians as needed.
• Provide end-user training so operators understand how to use and care for their equipment.
• Document work performed and update service records using company software daily.
• Communicate with Scheduling Analyst, Service Support, sales and other technicians to meet uptime and response times.
