Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician to service industrial weighing equipment in Worcester, MA, with travel across the region. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs at customer sites, while documenting work and training end-users.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customers and internal teams to meet uptime targets, maintaining the company vehicle and inventory, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED, or 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Customer-facing or field service experience preferred; commercial experience desired.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair philosophies, including PC networking and software configuration.
• 1 to 3 years of electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Weights and Measures license; may be required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to learn proprietary software and update information using METTLER TOLEDO programs.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 10–25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on industrial weighing equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs.
• Provide end-user training on proper equipment use and care.
• Document work performed and maintain data integrity in service records.
• Communicate with Scheduling Analyst, Service Support Team, sales, and technicians to meet customer uptime targets.
• Maintain company vehicle and parts inventory in a clean, organized manner.
• Support service revenue by identifying needs and submitting sales leads.
• Follow all safety and quality policies.
