Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and calibrate precision weighing equipment at customer sites across the assigned region. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot basic issues, and train operators on proper usage.

You will document work in our service database daily, collaborate with scheduling and sales teams, and maintain vehicle and inventory while adhering to safety policies and quality standards. The role requires travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain one.
• High School Diploma or GED or 5 years relevant work experience.
• Customer-facing or field service experience preferred; commercial experience desired.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair philosophies.
• 1 to 3 years of electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL and a Weights and Measures license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to learn proprietary METTLER TOLEDO software.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 25% and work overtime 10–25%.
• Residence within the service territory.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on industrial weighing equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs with experienced technicians.
• Provide end-user training on equipment usage and care.
• Document work performed and update service records daily using service software.
• Communicate with Scheduling Analyst, Service Support, sales, and technicians to meet uptime targets.
• Maintain company vehicle and parts inventory in a clean, organized, compliant manner.
• Identify service or product needs and submit sales leads within your experience level.
• Follow safety and quality policies to ensure a safe work environment.
