Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician to service on-site industrial weighing equipment across the assigned region. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs, and train end-users to operate the equipment safely.

Travel up to 10-25% by company vehicle or plane is required, with overtime 10-25% and a safety-sensitive environment. You must reside in the service territory and be proficient with Microsoft Office and the company’s service software.

Qualifications

• Willingness to attain and maintain a Class B CDL.
• 1 to 3 years of electro/mechanical repair or weighing industry experience.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 10% on average, potentially up to 25%.
• Must reside within the service territory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to learn proprietary software and update information using METTLER TOLEDO programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on weighing equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs.
• Provide end-user training on proper operation and care of equipment.
• Use service software to document work and maintain service records daily.
• Communicate with Scheduling Analyst, Service Support Team, and sales to meet uptime targets.
• Maintain company vehicle and parts inventory in a clean, organized, compliant manner.
• Identify service or product needs and submit sales leads when appropriate.
• Follow safety, quality, and company policies at all times.
