Job summary

Guardiar is seeking a Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair automated barrier and bollard systems in NJ. You will perform preventive maintenance per OEM specs and assist with parts orders, service tickets, and documentation.

This field-service role requires hands-on troubleshooting of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and control systems, plus strong communication with customers and internal teams. Travel to customer sites, including after-hours as needed, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of field service repair experience.
• Experience with PLC/VFD troubleshooting is a plus.
• Experience communicating with property management and facility professionals.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service and maintenance requests.
• Perform field service or repair procedures.
• Accurately complete required documentation.
• Support service operations as directed by the Service Coordinator.
• Coordinate daily field activities with Lead Technician and Service Manager.
• Respond to emergency and after-hours service calls.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control systems.
• Maintain readiness for field assignments with required tools and PPE.
