Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors at customer sites in the Fredericksburg, VA area. You will diagnose issues with precision tools and reference equipment manuals to ensure proper operation.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in extreme conditions.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Experience on compressed air systems/centrifugal technologies/solid controls background is a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Keep up-to-date with installation and repair requirements.
• Provide technical training and advice to customers and field staff.
• Diagnose problems and submit clear reports to manufacturing facilities.
• Maintain clear written and oral communication for service work.
• Submit detailed technical reports and timely expense records.
