Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related air systems at customer sites. You will diagnose issues with precision tools and refer to equipment manuals for service tasks.

The role requires traveling to various East Center locations, strong safety practices, and the ability to train other technicians and customers. A valid license and relevant technical education are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Experience with compressed air systems/centrifugal tech/solid controls is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience with service, diagnosis, and startup of rotary and centrifugal air compressors encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Keep up-to-date with field installation and repair requirements.
• Provide technical advice and training to customers, field staff and trainees.
• Diagnose problems and submit clear, accurate reports to the facility.
• Maintain integrity in handling business affairs and write clear communications.
• Submit detailed reports and timely expense timecards; manage company records and, if needed, a company car.
• Operate with professional communication for service work; ensure concise information transfer.
