Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related components at customer sites. You will diagnose issues with precision tools and follow manuals to ensure optimal performance.

The role requires 2+ years of mechanical experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel within a 3-hour radius. A High School Diploma is required; EPA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
• Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
• Basic vibration troubleshooting.
• Basic Air Quality (system compressor/dryer - air treatment).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; handheld devices and network basics.
• Maintain cost-efficient business travel practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain compressors and related equipment.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator on parts and supplies for installations and repairs.
• Train apprentices and other Field Service Technicians.
• Provide technical assistance on pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations, and repairs.
