Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related components at customer sites in the Fredericksburg, VA area.

The role requires 2–5 years of mechanical systems troubleshooting, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in varied environments. A strong safety mindset and clear documentation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience troubleshooting industrial/mechanical systems.
• Experience with compressed air systems and related components is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose problems and provide corrective actions with clear reporting.
• Train customers and field staff on equipment use and maintenance.
• Complete detailed service reports and time/expense records weekly.
