Job summary

IEM is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, and service for power distribution systems in the Denver area. You will diagnose moderately complex issues, guide Level I technicians, and coordinate with project teams on site.

Role requires strong electrical diagnostic skills, meticulous documentation, and the ability to travel to customer sites up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred in power distribution systems or related area.
• 1+ years of experience supporting switchgear start-up and commissioning.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Ability to travel up to 75% as needed to support field service activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and service for IEM equipment in the field.
• Install/modify electrical components and subassemblies to meet project requirements.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors, Project Managers, and internal teams.
• Analyze failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions for moderately complex issues.
• Document service activities, parts usage, and follow-up actions accurately.
