Job summary

RES is seeking a Field Service Technician I – Solar BESS-Traveler to support senior technicians in operating and maintaining utility-scale solar facilities. You will handle preventative and corrective maintenance on on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters, while following strict safety practices.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting DC/AC power systems, using CMMS tools, and interfacing with owners, equipment manufacturers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• High school/GED required.
• Associate degree in a Related Technical Field preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
• FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot certification preferred.
• 3+ years or more related maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of high/low voltage electrical power systems and SCADA basics.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility-scale solar facilities.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on on-site assets (solar panels, trackers, inverters).
• Troubleshoot low-voltage DC and AC power systems.
• Communicate with project stakeholders and subcontractors; represent RES professionally.
• Adhere to safety, LO TO procedures and site policies.
