Job summary
Renewable Energy Partners is seeking a Solar & Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) O&M Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and performance optimization of commercial and industrial solar PV and energy storage systems.
The technician will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and controls issues, and assist with commissioning to ensure assets operate safely and efficiently. Field-based travel is required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher.
- 2+ years of experience in solar PV, electrical, industrial maintenance, energy storage, or related field.
- Experience troubleshooting 208V and 480V three-phase systems is preferred.
- Experience with BESS, EMS controls, or PCS is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on solar PV and BESS assets.
- Troubleshoot electrical, control, and communications issues.
- Assist with commissioning, testing, and restoration of systems.
- Inspect components such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, and cables.
- Document failures, actions taken, and results for service reports.
- Travel to project sites as required and coordinate with stakeholders.
