Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Technician, Field Svc II in Pennsylvania to diagnose and repair Canon-supported equipment, both on-site and in shop settings. The role requires basic technical knowledge, 1–2 years of related experience, and the ability to travel.

This customer-facing position offers shift work in a 24/7 environment, with a transportation allowance and opportunities to grow within Canon's field service team.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new-hire class.
• Ability to travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record).
• Capable of working in a 24/7 environment with shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must obtain security and/or other clearances as required by customers to enter premises.
• Must lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups including basic troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on-site maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and support escalation of technical issues.
