Job summary

Motion is seeking a Field Service Technician II to perform on-site service for clients in Birmingham, AL. Under direct supervision, you will diagnose, repair and install hydraulic equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and handle on-call emergency responses as needed.

Responsibilities include reading hydraulic schematics, operating shop equipment safely, documenting findings, and communicating with customers.

Reads hydraulic schematics and diagrams accurately.
Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and team.
Operates shop equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

On-site services for new and existing clients, including emergency repairs and upgrades on a 24/7 on-call basis.
Install, diagnose, repair and support equipment at customer sites.
Diagnose problems, assess extent, document findings and decide repairs or part replacements.
Analyze product implementations and enhancements per customer specs.
Inform customers about service and recommend system enhancements or repairs.
Work under supervision following guidelines for moderately complex repairs and installations.
Ensure compliance with local/national regulations and Motion safety standards.
Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation/maintenance.
Communicate technical information to customers and stakeholders to maintain high satisfaction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
