Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance for hydraulic and related equipment at customer sites, including installations and upgrades in the Bessemer, AL area. Under direct supervision, you will read hydraulic schematics, troubleshoot issues, and complete service reports while ensuring safety and compliance with Motion's standards.

You will communicate clearly with customers and coordinators to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Technical degree required with 0–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and interpret technical documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site services for new and existing clients, including emergency repairs and upgrades.
• Installs, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains equipment at customer sites.
• Reads hydraulic schematics and documents findings and actions.
• Communicates with customers and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and safety.
• Complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
