Job summary

Motion is seeking an on-site Field Service Technician in Birmingham, AL to perform on-site service, diagnostics, repairs and upgrades for hydraulic equipment. You will install, calibrate and test equipment at customer sites, and provide preventive maintenance and training as required.

The role requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience. Excellent communication skills and safe operation of shop equipment are essential for success in this hands-on, customer-facing position.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical degree.
• 0–3 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and interpret diagrams.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service for client equipment installations, diagnostics, repairs and upgrades.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, document findings, and determine parts to repair or replace.
• Install, calibrate, and test equipment at customer sites.
• Assist customers with operation and maintenance training as needed.
