Job summary

Texas First Rentals seeks a Field Service Technician II to perform on-site and off-site repair of heavy equipment, with hands-on diagnostics and component repair. You will document service work, order parts, and maintain customer records while adhering to safety and DOT requirements.

The role requires multi-year heavy equipment experience, basic hydraulics/electrical knowledge, and the ability to operate cranes/forklifts with appropriate certifications.

Qualifications

• More than two years of heavy equipment experience; three or more years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• MSHA, Crane/Rigger, and Air Conditioning certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision.
• Removes and installs parts, disassembles and reassembles basic components.
• Tests and verifies proper operation after repairs.
• Completes service reports, orders parts, and maintains customer records.
• Maintains DOT-required vehicle inspection records and logs.
• Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed.
• Overtime as required and travel as needed.
• Completes technician training and safety courses.
• Acts as a mentor to junior technicians when needed.
• Maintains tools and vehicles in good working order.
