Job summary

Texas First Rentals is seeking a Field Service Technician II to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and recondition light and heavy industrial equipment at off-site locations. The role emphasizes safety, values-based leadership, and collaboration with internal and external resources.

The incumbent will perform intermediate repairs, document work, mentor technicians, and may require overnight travel. Valid CDL and tool ownership are expected, with a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• More than three years of industrial equipment experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• MSHA certification preferred.
• Air conditioning certification preferred.
• Crane/Rigger certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment offsite with minimal supervision.
• Remove/install parts and disassemble/assemble components to CAT specifications.
• Test, adjust, and verify proper operation of repairs and adjustments.
• Prepare and complete service reports, order parts, and maintain customer records.
• Mentor and coach lower level Technicians; participate in quotations of work orders.
