Job summary

Texas First Rentals in Burleson, TX is seeking a Shop Service Technician 2 to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment following established procedures. The technician may work independently or with a team to provide mechanical services that meet customer needs and departmental goals.

The entry-level position requires two or more years of experience or demonstrated knowledge/skills and uses guidelines to perform duties under moderate supervision. Travel is not expected for this position.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic equipment malfunctions.
• Disassembles and assembles basic components per manufacturer's specs using hand and pneumatic tools.
• Performs rebuilding, repairing, and maintenance of equipment and components.
• Assists in estimating, planning, and cost control for repairs.
• Completes parts orders and handles returns.
• Maintains clean and safe work areas and adheres to safety policies.
• Overtime may be required to meet workload.
