Job summary

Texas First Rentals is seeking a Field Service Technician I to provide face-to-face customer service at an off-site location. The role involves minor troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning light and heavy industrial rental equipment.

You will maintain records, order parts, and ensure safety and compliance on every job. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• More than one year of heavy equipment experience required; three or more years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• MSHA certification preferred; Air conditioning certification preferred; Crane/Rigger certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs and diagnostic troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision.
• Maintains service records, writes reports, orders parts, and uses required databases.
• Operates and inspects equipment and vehicles, maintains DOT logs and inspections.
• Communicates job progress to supervisor and customers; completes assigned tasks within time standards.
