Job summary

Texas First Rentals in Burleson, TX is seeking an entry-level heavy equipment technician to diagnose, repair, and service equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications. The role may be performed independently or as part of a team.

You will use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized tooling to service equipment, and participate in safety and training programs. A HS diploma is preferred; two+ years of relevant knowledge/skills is beneficial.

Qualifications

• General understanding of machines and their maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instructions and specs.
• Basic knowledge of estimating, planning and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses basic equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Performs partial disassembly and assembly to manufacturer specs with hand/pneumatic tools.
• Performs rebuilding, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
• Assists with cost estimation, planning, and control of repair jobs.
• Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in clean, safe condition.
• Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs.
• Updates knowledge through training paths like ProTech.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
